Georgette M. Moffett

With grace and dignity, Georgette M. Moffett passed peacefully just before dawn on July 2, 2024 at Seaside Healthcare in Portland.
Georgette was born to Odilas J. and Yvonne M. Menard and was raised in Brunswick, Maine. She attended St. John’s Catholic School and Brunswick High School, graduating in 1948. On September 10, 1949, she married Eugene P. Plourde. They lived at the Menard family home on Dunning Street and later moved to a rambling farmhouse on River Road.
Georgette and Eugene divorced in 1972; they remained friends until his death in 2003. In 1979, Georgette married Raymond ("Ray") H. Moffett, also of Brunswick. Georgette and Ray split their time between Maine and Boynton Beach, Florida and enjoyed traveling across country, to Canada, and overseas. Shortly after Ray died in 1997, Georgette moved to Connecticut and lived with her daughter, Doris, and her family. In 2007, she returned to Brunswick, eventually residing at Pejepscot Terrace until January of this year.
