Ludwika Ogorzelec – Ujazdowski Castle Centre for Contemporary Art
The exhibition of Ludwika Ogorzelec’s sculptures at the Ujazdowski Castle Centre for Contemporary Art is the first such extensive presentation of her artistic output. She creates monumental sculpture-spaces in the interiors of museums and galleries, in which she leads the viewer. Her sculptures are created in the context of the location and culture of the country she works in. Her installations were displayed in Sweden, the United States of America, Greece, Spain, Japan, Germany, Italy, Lebanon, and Costa Rica. She works mainly in wood, metal and glass. Her sculptures pass through walls, windows and from gallery interior to exterior. She has been awarded The Pollock-Kastner Grant (New York), the Prix du Conseil National (Monte Carlo), and the Order of Polonia Restituta.
