Black Veil Brides are an American rock band based in Hollywood, California. They were formed in 2006 in Cincinnati, Ohio and the group is currently composed of Andy Biersack, Lonny Eagleton, Jake Pitts, Jinxx and Christian "CC" Coma. Black Veil Brides are known for their use of black makeup, body paint, studded clothing, and long hair, which were inspired by 1980's glam metal acts such as Kiss and Mötley Crüe.

Primarily the brainchild of vocalist Andy Biersack, Black Veil Brides formed in Cincinnati, Ohio, in 2006.

  Formation and early years (2006–2009)

  Black Veil Brides were originally formed in Cincinnati, Ohio in 2006 by Andy Biersack (who went by the stage name Andy Six until 2011),^[2] Johnny Herold, and Phil Cennedella.^[1] Eventually, Andy relocated to Los Angeles, California.^[1] In early 2009, he formed a new band using the current Black Veil Brides name, with the lineup consisting of Biersack, guitarist Chris Hollywood, and drummer Sandra Alvarenga, who were soon joined by bassist Ashley Purdy and guitarist Pan the Gypsy; they signed with the independent label StandBy Records.^[1][3] Chris Hollywood and Pan the Gypsy later departed the band and were replac
